SMS / Text Messaging Terms

These SMS Terms ("SMS Terms") govern your participation in the text messaging program operated by MJC Financial Fitness LLC ("MJCFF," "we," "us"). By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you agree to these SMS Terms, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.

1. Program Description

The MJCFF text messaging program allows clients, prospective clients, and other authorized recipients to communicate with MJCFF by SMS for:

Appointment scheduling, reminders, and confirmations;
Account and service notifications, such as document signing reminders, billing notices, and secure portal alerts;
One-to-one conversations between you and your adviser.

This program does not send promotional or marketing messages.

2. How to Opt In

You can opt in to receive text messages from MJCFF in any of the following ways:

Providing your mobile number on a client intake form, engagement document, or contact form and indicating that you consent to receive text messages;
Verbally consenting during a meeting or phone call with MJCFF and having that consent documented;
Replying "YES," "START," or a similar affirmative response to a confirmation text from MJCFF.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of becoming or remaining an MJCFF client.

3. Our Messaging Number

MJCFF sends text messages only from 312-210-0665. If you receive a message that appears to be from MJCFF from any other number, please contact us before responding.

4. How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving text messages from MJCFF at any time. Reply with any of the following keywords:

STOP · UNSUBSCRIBE · CANCEL · END · QUIT

After you send the opt-out message, we will send one confirmation text and then will not send you further messages unless you opt in again. You may also opt out by emailing mchrisler@mjcfinancialfitness.com or calling 312-210-0665.

5. How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any text message from MJCFF for assistance, or contact us at mchrisler@mjcfinancialfitness.com or 312-210-0665.

6. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your relationship with MJCFF and the nature of your account activity. Messages are typically sent only as needed in connection with appointments, account events, or your direct conversations with us. There is no fixed schedule of messages.

7. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and your wireless plan. MJCFF is not responsible for any charges from your mobile carrier related to your participation in this program. Check with your carrier for details about your plan.

8. Supported Carriers

This program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Service may not be available on all carriers at all times.

9. Privacy and Recordkeeping

Information collected through this messaging program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at mjcfinancialfitness.com/privacy. MJCFF does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text message content with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile information may be shared with service providers that help us operate the messaging program, including our messaging platform and compliance archiving vendor, and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.

As a registered investment adviser, MJCFF is required to retain books and records, including business communications such as text messages. Messages sent or received through this program are archived by a third-party compliance vendor for regulatory recordkeeping purposes and are retained as business records for at least five years.

10. Eligibility

To participate in this program, you must be at least 18 years old, located in the United States, and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide. You agree to notify MJCFF promptly if your mobile number changes or is no longer associated with you.

11. Disclaimers

Text messaging is not a secure communication channel. Do not send sensitive information by text, including Social Security numbers, full account numbers, account credentials, or detailed health or financial information. For sensitive items, use the secure client portal, encrypted email, phone, or an in-person meeting.

MJCFF is not responsible for messages that are delayed, undelivered, intercepted, or accessed by unauthorized parties as a result of the inherent limitations of SMS technology or your mobile device or carrier.

12. Changes to These SMS Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised. Your continued participation after a revised version is posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated SMS Terms.
